Introducing our Turquoise Coasters Set, a unique collection inspired by the hand-painted Portuguese tiles that are a distinctive element of Portugal’s urban identity. These tiles, known for their vibrant colors and light-reflecting properties, add an unparalleled sparkle to the city of Lisbon.
From the northern to the southern regions of Portugal, our cities are adorned with these radiant tiles. Each coaster in this set is individually hand-painted, following the techniques used for 19th-century facade tiles. With a size of 10.8 cm x 10.8 cm and a 4 mm cork backing, these coasters are not only beautiful but also functional.
Our coasters can withstand high temperatures above 1000 degrees, making them perfect as a pot holder or trivet. They can also be used as a cheese board or a table marker, adding a festive and colorful touch to your table.

Meet the Maker
Isabel Amorim is a trained ceramic artist from Lisbon who has trained in the field of ceramics both in Lisbon and Glasgow.
In 2011 she founded her own ceramics studio. Her inspiration is the theme of Portuguese tiles, All tiles are hand painted individually, according to traditional processes and techniques. In addition to tiles with original motifs, Isabel has also designed authentic replicas of heritage tiles.
